Set to be the largest ticketed LGBTQIA+ music festival in the southern hemisphere, the inaugural Summer Camp festival is sparkling into action this November 5 to celebrate music, art, freedom and diversity. The festival, created by the queer community for the queer community, will feature over 200 performing artists raising awareness and money for some more than worthwhile causes.
Love will be in the air but you’re going to need to snap up your tickets to attend the party at Centennial Park in Sydney. Third Release GA tickets are now on sale while there are still some Gold Star VIP Tickets available for an exceptionally divine day out on the dancefloor.
It’s time to answer the Summer Camp call and sparkle in the sunshine.
Summer Camp Festival
In this summer camp for adults, you’ll discover a vibrant tapestry of local Australian artists, as well as acts from the UK, the US and New Zealand. Across two stages, there will be plenty of music, dance, performance art, culture, art installations and food and beverage to discover.
London’s Years & Years, aka Olly Alexander, is coming to headline Summer Camp festival as part of his world tour. The talented actor and singer has starred in a global hit drama, It’s A Sin, collaborated with Lady Gaga, performed with Sir Elton John at the Brit Awards, and sung a duet with Kylie Minogue. His performance at Summer Camp will be one of the first times you can hear his new album, Night Call, live on stage.
Also set to shake up the stage is bounce music queen Big Freedia. Coming from New Orleans’ hip hop and electronic scene, she’s featured on tracks with Beyoncé, Drake, Lizzo, Kesha and more. She was a panelist on season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
